There's a viral bakery that opened near the city centre earlier this year. It's called Poetri Radja. I went there just last night after my overtime. It was just after the sun came down, not fully dark yet, more like blue hour. I was crossing the street when I saw the gorgeous moon last night. Suddenly, I remembered that tonight is the 2026 pink moon.
The name might actually be an April Fool's joke. Because it's almost impossible for our moon to turn into a pinkish hue, she'll always be golden or orange and white sometimes. According to BBC, the name actually came from the pink-colored flowers that bloom in early spring, called Phlox subulata (wild ground phlox or moss pink native to North America.)
After the awe from the pink moon I saw just rising from the eastern sky, a short and lame photo session, Poetri Radja was just a few meters away. Plus, I could already see people lounging on folding chairs under bright, warm lighting. A very usual sighting for a place like that.
I stepped onto the patterned flooring and onto the counter, with shiny vermilion tiles climbing up to the cashier's wooden top. Overall, classic vintage mixed with a color scheme of Spanish House style. The neutral cream beige for the overall walls, patterned floor tiles, and brownish colors mixed with terracotta. I said color scheme because shape-wise, it's not so Spanish house.
I personally love the patterns on the accessories, like this eccentric metal jug over here and this lamp-table.

The lamp looks rather fragile and looks like it'll tremble when picked up. The placement near another pattern from the mirror is so pretty. With dark wood color and cream beige wall to balance it out. Still with a pop of color from the turquoise half-tiled walls, which again are bordered by wood.
I also found this carved lock made out of brass (?) and I forgot to take a pic of it, but there are electrical outlets and switches that fit into the overall style, which is different from what we use daily here. Something that looks like this one I found on Pinterest
Unfortunately, the space is rather small, and I found the indoor seating area to be ergonomically uncomfortable. This place makes me want to rush. It's good if their concept is for people who grab their coffee and are always on-the-go, but for quality meetups, this place is a no-no. The variety of chair levels makes conversation feel disconnected. Not to mention the table being the same height as the seating is so wrong to me. It makes my whole upper body exposed, like I need to be conscious all the time.
Enough with that... This is a bakery and a coffee shop, so let's talk foods.
I've had their Nutella, pineapple, and cheese bread before, and I was bewitched by the Nutella one, so that's what I got last night. I was hesitant to order the coffee since I've had it during the day, and I was afraid I'd stay up late tonight. Despite all that, I still got the coffee :)
They're Roti Harum Nutella (which means fragrant Nutella bread) and Kopi Poetri Radja (btw Poetri Radja means king's daughter or princess!).
The bread was unquestionably exceptional as usual. But I was surprised by the coffee. I don't know how to describe it, but it was perfect with the sweet Nutella. The nutty chocolate taste with milky, slightly bitter coffee. I combined it by taking a small bite of the bread and a sip of the coffee, 1:1 ratio. The Nutella just melts into the coffee, and the bread softens even more. It's great :)
It was a pretty superficial day for me, and it feels nice walking around the area just after the sun goes to sleep. Gladly, it was Wednesday, so the place was not packed.
Go get yourself some Wijsman baked goods from Poetri Radja
